Founded in 1983, Sunrise Inc. started out as Sunrise Construction with one dump truck. Over the next 10 years the business grew to five new dump trucks and pups plus lowboys and loaders. After incorporating, the name changed to Sunrise Trucking and Contracting Inc. located at 5619 N Harvard Road, Otis Orchards, Washington. In addition to trucking, Sunrise was involved with site preparation and road building. Sunrise built several commercial construction rock walls in the Spokane area before they were common place. From then on, we became hooked on rocks. Our one acre site grew to fourteen acres of rock. The dump trucks deliver our own product now and a rock placement truck has been added to our fleet. After a brief period using the name Sunrise Ridge, the DBA changed to Sunrise Inc. to reflect our metamorphosis from predominantly trucking to a masonry and landscape materials supplier catering to both the retail and wholesale trade. In 2007, a closely related company, Sunrise Stone Products Inc., was initiated to expand our capabilities to custom cut rock and thin veneer stone for masonry applications and architectural pieces.
As the Inland Northwest’s premier supplier of rock products and thin veneer, our sales yard offers a unique and abundant inventory accented with display beds, rock fountains and a phenomenal mine car water feature. Our many decorative rock choices can create a myriad of styles to harmonize with your home and plantings.
Our line-up of slate, flagstone and custom garden stones comes in various colors and thicknesses. The rock is sold by the pound or by the ton for your patio, pathway and stepping stone projects. Crushed gravel and coarse bedding sand are available to provide a compact-able base for laying the flagstone. Basalt columns and smaller Earth Crystals make a pleasing statement in groups. They can be drilled for fountains along with almost any other boulders in our stock.
For landscapers and gardeners, Sunrise Inc. offers screened topsoil and a nutrient rich, garden mix. Gravels and sands are available for utilitarian purposes such as driveways, pipe bedding and fun projects like sand boxes and golf bunkers. For an additional charge, delivery is available for larger quantities over six yards.
Sunrise Inc. is a proud supporter of Special Olympics Washington, Ducks Unlimited Spokane, Spokane Home Builders Association, and East Valley School District.
Sunrise Inc. also provides numerous contributions to local Eagle and Boy Scout projects including neighborhood gardens throughout the Spokane & Spokane Valley community.
